Spring Family Photos

We took advantage of the PAMOM (Plano Area Moms of Multiples - I have a few friends that are members) photo fundraiser again, and had our pictures taken in April.   Of course, it was the windiest day in North Texas and Riley was battling a double ear infection so I spent most of the time literally "wrangling" him and begging Matt to get in the picture. However, I think they turned out really well and we look more like we are cuddling and going for the "wind blown" look. :)

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was the absolute perfect day.  Riley & Matt made a nice big egg breakfast, and then we spent the rest of the day poolside.  Riley spent the majority of the day in just a swim diaper because his swimsuit was too small, but he didn't really seem to care! He swam and played on the new swingset that Grandma and Grandpa got for him.  We had a yummy meal with the entire family, and I couldn't have asked for a better day.

Riley's "Crown"

I'm sure these pictures will show up in a wedding slideshow one day, but here is Riley with his FAVORITE new toy at school these days... a bejeweled crown (well, it's really a tiara, but Matt insists that we call it a "crown").  He runs over to the dress-up box every morning and finds his "crowns", and his teachers say that he doesn't like sharing them. I've been trying to trade the crown for the firehat, but he isn't buying into that plan.  So adorable...

Take me out to the ballgame!

My Dad's BIG 60th birthday was on May 9th, so we celebrated with one of his favorite past times.... baseball! We got the VIP treatment at the Frisco Roughriders ballpark, and enjoyed all of Dad's favorites... baseball, beer, good food, and of course family.  It was a beautiful day at the ballpark, and we all had a great time cheering on the Roughriders and celebrating Dad.  They even put his name on the big screen & had a group come over to sing him Happy Birthday!

Aunty Ky's "Bachelorette" Weekend

Kylie, one of my best friends from college, came to visit last weekend for her "bachelorette/relaxation weekend".  We spent Friday getting massages and going out to lunch, and then we just spent the rest of the weekend catching up and talking about the upcoming nuptials in Bermuda! I was SO BAD about taking pictures during her visit, but did catch a few cute ones.  Things have changed a bit since her visit last year!

Relaxing by the pool on Saturday, it was a gorgeous day and we all had a blast together!

Of course, Tobes (& Hol) got lots of TLC too!

Counting the days till the June 9th wedding! We can't wait to see two of our best friends marry each other!

Future Athlete

We took a walk on a nice Sunday afternoon, and Riley just wanted to get out of the stroller and RUN! And, run he did... all around the sports fields near our house. He even found a lacrosse ball that someone left behind (his Daddy already has him pegged as a "LAX" guy).   Before we know it, he'll be running around these fields with a jersey and pads, AHH!

Aunty Lib Babysits

Aunty Lib was sweet enough to babysit Riley so that Matt & I could go out on a date.  We sat outside on the patio at Bonnie Ruth's restaurant, and enjoyed every second of it!

It looks like Riley and Aunty Lib had a blast together too! They are two peas in a pod!

Week of the Young Child

Last week was the "Week of the Young Child", and we celebrated with different activities at Riley's school.  They had "pajama day", made Popsicles, planted a garden, created banners with their hand prints, had a pot luck after work with all of the children and parents, and then topped it off with a parade through the JCP Home Office on Friday.  We had lots of fun with all of the activities, and more importantly so did Mr. Riley!
