Catch-up!

Here are some of the latest happenings around here!

Riley and his class celebrated the beginning of spring with their annual Spring Bonnet Parade.  GiGi and I went to the parade, and we had a great time jamming to the music and watching Riley and his class parade around the parking lot in their neat spring hats!

I can't believe that last year's parade was an entire year ago already!

We also got to ring in spring AND our good friend Crystal's birthday with a cookout at the Hay's house! We had a great time with the Hays and Rachavong  families... as usual!! :)

Baby Cami and Baby Sami are destined to be friends... they were adorable together!

Sawyer was sweet to help entertain the two girls

Big brother and big sister got to join in on the fun on the blanket too!

Riley keeps us entertained these days with his nightly outfits.  A hard hat, set of safety goggles, and a tool are very typical. Add in the police car slippers and miss-matched PJ's and you have a real fashion statement!

A safety mask and guitar are also necessary accessories!

The kids have really started playing more together lately, and they get along so well. I just hope it continues this way forever!  Samantha plays on the exersaucer, and Riley has to "fix" it for her.

A tutu and matching accessories are a must for school these days. Such a trend setter!

Sometimes, Samantha just likes to chill in the pool at school. If she loves empty pools this much, I can't wait to see what the summer holds!

Riley's class got some new centers in their classroom, including a new sand table. They put this cute picture on the Primrose Facebook page, and I just had to steal it.  Look at those big baby blues...

Our sweet girl has officially started teething like crazy. Not a second goes by when she isn't trying to chew on everything in sight. This one was particularly funny!

Painting De Ja Vu

Mrs. Stephanie takes pictures of Samantha and sends them to us in her portfolio. These particular pictures of Sami painting a picture reminded me of the ones Mrs. Stephanie sent us of Riley when he was 6 months. She is following in her brothers footsteps, and having a ball doing it!

Happy birthday to Ms. Jackye and Ms. Ivette

Riley's two favorite teachers had birthdays last week! When we get a chance to celebrate a birthday, we jump all over it!  Riley made some very special cards for his teachers, and they celebrated with cake at school.  We are so lucky that he has such fantastic teachers!

Concentrating very hard...

Where's Riley? Holding up 4 fingers during math at circle time, what a good boy!

Wacky Weather

We started out last weekend with temps in the 80's! It was gorgeous! Somehow, the following day we had freezing rain and temps in the 20's.  We are ready for Spring!

Riley was chauffeuring his friend Emery around the neighborhood on Friday night.

Beep, Beep!!

I just want to squeeze these chunky legs!

Saturday morning cartoons with her twin  Daddy

Sophie, Toby, and Sami soaked up the warm rays

The next morning, these two were happy to stay inside when the temps dropped 50 degrees.  They held hands and watched a show on Daddy's phone.

They just love each other :)

I think we were all a little stir crazy by Monday. The daycares were closed, and I was home with the kiddos.  Poor Sami was the subject of some of Riley's funny tricks!

Poor baby was such a good sport, and Riley thought he was SOO funny!

Luckily, the ice melted and we were back in our routine by Tuesday morning. Bring on the sunshine, March!

Riley's Pearly Whites

Riley had his first dentist appointment last week, and it was a great success! First of all, the pediatric dentist office was out of this world. They gave Riley a "Deputy Riley" badge when he arrived, and then we sat in this incredible waiting room.

There was a train running above our heads. Riley kept telling me that "Pop Pop left his train up there!!". Pop Pop has a train too, and he certainly didn't forget!

After a few quick xrays and a cool new ORANGE toothbrush, we got to spend a few minutes in the arcade while they prepped Riley's exam chair. Yes, an ARCADE at the dentist.

They gave him some cool ORANGE sunglasses to wear, and he watched a movie on the flat screen TV above the exam chair. I don't remember the dentist being this much fun as a kid!

Luckily, all of the "distractions" kept this 3 year old at ease, and he was very cooperative during the cleaning. He got a great tooth "report card", and got to use a gold token for a toy when we left.  We can't wait to go back in 6 months!
