Sweet Shower for Samantha

I am one lucky girl to have such amazing friends and family to host a shower in honor of our sweet Samantha.  Kelly, Chelsee, Hayley, Crystal, and Lib hosted a shower at my parents house (thanks, Mom, too!), and it was such a special day for me.  They made all of my favorite breakfast foods, delicious desserts, and all of my favorite people there to celebrate. Let's just say... Sami is going to be the best dressed little girl in north Texas!

My great friends and hostesses

The gorgeous (and delicious!) petit fours... they had Samantha's initials, baby booties, and even sparkled!

Heidi and Mom

Lauren (our favorite babysitter!) and Melinda

The gifts were SO cute!!!

Lila and Madison looked so great in their shower outfits that they picked out!

I love my friends & fam!

So fun opening up the cute girly stuff!

I think Little Lam is going to be my new favorite store!

Can't get any cuter than these clothes!

Decided we needed at least 2 belly pics this pregnancy... here is the big tummy at 33 weeks... almost ready to pop!

Happy birthday to Matthew!

We had another fun-filled birthday party at Pump-It-Up this weekend to celebrate the birthday of Riley's friend Matthew.  Riley can't get enough of these bounce venues, and now thinks that they're a regular weekend occurrence!

LaLa went with us to the party... they goofed around in the back seat on the way

Then it was time to play!!

This "knock it out" game was a big hit

Riley got front and center when it was time to open gifts... every gift was so impressive!

Happy 3rd birthday, Matthew!

Last Tuesday...

Riley started out last Tuesday morning with a 103* fever, and ended it at the ER with a severly busted lip.  Luckily, I am happy to say that the fever is now gone, strep test was negative, and the lip did not require stitches and is healing nicely. I have a feeling that was not our last trip to the ER with him!  It was a busy week!

The "healing" lip... looked much nastier in person... at least he's still smiling! :)

You can see where his teeth went through.... ouch!!

More practice & fun at the Loefflers

We headed down to the Loeffler's on Saturday for some fun in the sun with our good friends and got a little baby practice in with sweet baby Allie.

LaLa called Riley on FaceTime on our way to their house. He was decked out in a backwards hat and sunglasses, and Lib found the "conversation" pretty hilarious!

We couldn't turn down a chance to swim in the Loeffler's pool! They found that the Cozy Coupe floats in the pool, so the kids had a blast "driving" in the pool.

The Dads were good sports to help navigate all of the kids antics in the pool while Kelly and I chatted on the lounge chairs.

Riley is always so good with Baby Allie. He talks to her with such a sweet voice, and is so gentle to her.

There was a bit of jealousy when Daddy was holding Allie... foreshadowing? :)

Family Day at School

They had "Family Day" at Riley's school on Friday, so Matt and I joined Riley for lunch.  They had a fabulous sandwich, salad, and fruit spread for the parents and we loved eating lunch with our little guy.  He was SO excited that we came to his classroom, but leaving afterwards was a bit of a disaster. Luckily, the teachers assured me that he calmed down quickly and took a good nap.
P.S. Poor Matt was a little tall for the kiddie chairs... what do you think? :)

More Baseball Fun!

We took advantage of another Frisco RoughRiders baseball game last Sunday with the Rachavong's.  It was about 103*, so luckily we had the JCPenney Club passes to watch the game in the AC for awhile! This pregnant mommy barely survived the walk from the parking lot to the stadium in the heat! We ate a yummy buffet dinner in the cooled box until the sun went down, and then had a great time in the seats. We always have so much fun with the Rachavong fam, and Riley finds Sawyer to be really funny so there were lots of belly laughs!

Love this one of these two... they look like twins!

Riley's flip flop fell off, and Sawyer was such a good friend to wipe his foot off and put it back on for him.

I think Riley likes this game! Sawyer took his job very seriously! We were dying!

We couldn't get by without some running, climbing, and silliness!

We survived the heat!

Look at those pink cheeks, they weren't ready to call it quits!

Beating the Texas Heat!

In an effort to beat the extreme summer temperatures, we've been waking up bright and early on the weekends to hit the neighborhood pool. We've met some new friends at the pool, and have been able to catch up with old friends as well.

The boys have especially enjoyed the water slide. The second they hit the bottom you hear "go again, Daddy!"

We've hit up our favorite custard place in Frisco... can't beat Double Dip in the summer!

Riley's getting ready for football season with his new Redskins jersey and matching markers.

Daddy and Riley get the lawn mowed early these days before temps hit the hundreds... he's learning early that he's got to get the protective goggles and weed wacker going first thing in the morning!

Birthday parties galore!

Riley has lots of friends turning 3 these days, and we've done lots of partying. The parties have been hosted at fun places like the sci-fi discovery center and Jump Zone... two of which were back to back last Saturday.  I think Riley is sold on Jump Zone for his next birthday party, but we have to keep reminding him that it won't be until February!

I only got one picture at the Lorax themed sci-fi center for Greyson and Bryson's birthday. They had lots of cool interactive exhibits for the kids. Then they got to make slime and plant a seed!

Then it was off to Jump Zone... I think he likes it, what do you think?

He took off when we got in the door, and climbed, slid, and jumped like a pro!

I'm not sure who had more fun with the arcade games, Riley or Daddy?

Can you find Waldo?

Then it was time to sugar the kids up before heading home. Riley ate every bit of that bright blue icing, and loved eating lunch with one of his favorite friends from school Adrian (the little blonde). I always catch them holding hands at school when I pick Riley up.  :)

Happy birthday Greyson, Bryson, and Natalie! We had a fun day celebrating!

When Daddy's away, we will play!

Matt has had the opportunity to go to several Rangers baseball games this year, so Riley and I have had our own little fun activities at home. Last Sunday was no exception, so we blew up the pool and had some fun!

who needs a bathing suit when you have big boy briefs?

Now he's ready... weed wacker goggles, check! horn, check! swimsuit, check!

The goggles were a must on the makeshift waterslide

My mom was over earlier in the day and she got rid of this scary bug for Riley... he actually found it when we were outside, and we had to throw it over the fence (well, I had to grab it's leg and fling it over).. the things we do for our kids!
