Hawaiian Falls Fun!

I took yesterday off work to meet up with some girlfriends & their kids at Hawaiian Falls.  It ended up being a crazy busy day at Hawaiian Falls because Fox News was reporting from there all day, but it didn't ruin our fun. Riley had an absolute ball playing at the water park!! It was so nice getting together with good friends and enjoying some fun in the sun on a Monday!

July Birthdays

We had a few birthday parties this month for Riley's buddies.

Griffin turned 1, but Riley was under the weather that day... so we decided that wasn't the best gift to give the birthday boy.  We didn't make it to the party, but he was sweet enough to share a goody bag with Riley.  He loved every item in the bag... slinky around the wrist, whistle in hand, sticker on tummy, and key chain hooked to shorts! Thanks Griffin, and Happy Birthday!

We also went to Bryson and Grayson's 2nd birthday party.  It was such a fun party since it was a "frozen treats" and swim party.  Riley indulged in a popsicle as soon as we arrived. Happy 2nd birthday to the Wheaton twins!

Riley had fun Krogering

Riley collected his usual "I went Krogering" stickers at the cash register, and got to ring the bell for "excellent service"... it's usually about 500 "dings"... he really enjoys the level of service at Kroger!  He almost stole a package of napkins that were tucked under his feet in the car, so we had to go back and pay for them.  Oops!!

Sunglasses, Hats, & Kisses

Lately, Riley has wanted to wear his sunglasses and/or VT baseball cap to and from school everyday.  He wears them as we walk through the parking garage, and then stops in the middle of the cross-walk so that the security guard can compliment his "look".  All of the associates walking in and out of the building also make a point of saying "hey buddy, awesome glasses!!".  Then, when we arrive in the classroom he looks around so that everyone can comment on his "coolness".  No lack of confidence here! He's a cool dude, and he knows it!
Yesterday, I was on the phone at work and heard loud "HI! HI!" in the rotunda downstairs. I could have SWORN it was Riley's voice. Come to find out, they went on a walk in the buggy and Riley told every JCP Associate that passed them "HI!" and blew them kisses.  The teachers said he had people rolling in the aisles! Such a flirt. :)

Favorite Word...BUBBLES!

Riley's favorite word these days is Bubbles. He loves when we blow bubbles, and loves popping them. We turned our kitchen and family room into a bubble wonderland, and he just popped away! Riley says "Bubble?" (it's always a question for some reason), and once we blow them he says "OH, WOWWW!".

Water Water Everywhere

Riley absolutely LOVES to play in the water. Give the kid a hose, sprinkler, pool, you name it... and he is in heaven!

Swim Party!

We had an amazing time swimming and playing with our friends the Loeffler's and Glasco's at the Loeffler's new-and-improved vacation resort back yard.  Their updated pool, yard, tiki bar, and playhouse are perfect for summertime, and we just had a blast catching up with our friends and watching the kids play.

Griffin is Riley's pal, and they are only 5 months apart. I can't wait to see these two as they get older!
