Happy 30th to Uncle Johnny!

Uncle Johnny turned 30 last weekend, and we decided that he was not going to get away without having a celebration.  Lib and I pulled together a surprise birthday party at a Japanese Steakhouse, and boy was he surprised!  We celebrated the next day as a family, and I think it's a birthday that he won't soon forget.

He was happy to see Raj, one of his old coworkers

He's going "what the heck!? You told me you were busy tonight!"

His friends Marie and Kristen were such sweet girls

The food wasn't too shabby either!

Bonus date night!!

Our chef was even drinking the sake to ring in John's birthday. Cheers!

I had to opt for the "over the hill" cake :)

The following day was the family celebration.
I baked John's favorite coconut cake AND topped it with M&M's.

I'm not sure who is more excited about the birthday celebration....

Even Little Miss Sass joined in the celebration! Riley was our DJ in the background

October

Not only did we go ga-ga over Halloween and Pumpkin patches, but we had fun at concerts and birthday parties in October. Here is a quick catch up from some of those fun times....

Riley doesn't miss a trip to Kroger with me on Saturday morning. On this particular Saturday I had two companions.  Watch out!!

The Rachavong's welcomed baby Colby in October as well!
I got to hold him just a few short hours after he was born. I am already in love!

Of course my sweet friend looks gorgeous as usual.

Rileys BFF from when they were little babies, Sophia, turned 4 this month. We went to her birthday party at an art studio and had a blast!
Deep in thought...

Loved the super hero theme!

He's so smitten :)

We had some beautiful warm days at the beginning of the month, and took advantage of the outdoor concert in GiGi and Grandpa's new neighborhood.
Their sunsets are incredible.

We got sub sandwiches and had a picnic on the lawn.

Sami went for the wine first.

And, Daddy was still able to watch the football games :)

Good night sun...

Everything is go, go, go with Sami these days.
She loves the dog door

And climbing the stairs...

Riley is all about "rules", so he tries to help us keep her in line.

Riley got to make special Halloween cookies with GiGi this month too!

Those blue teeth make me think he had a pretty good time doing it.

On to November!!

Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween!! We had a fun filled week of Halloween fun and activities.

The Friday before Halloween was Primrose's annual "Trunk or Treat" party.

This sweet chick was just a baby last year for Trunk or Treat.

Our very own Frisco Fireman was prepared for the night too!

We had a great time practicing for actual Trick or Treating with Riley's friends, and it was a beautiful night

Halloween consisted of 3 parades, a class party, trick or treating, and a block party!  We started the day with the annual JCPenney Pumpkin Parade.  3 short years ago her brother wore this same costume.

Then it was time for parade #2 at Primrose. Riley's class went as cowboys and Indians.

Uncle Johnny and GiGi even came to see Cowboy Riley!

Sami loves going to her big brother's school

Sweet kisses from Uncle Johnny.

She found Riley's hook

As you can see, this boy has a lot of cute girlfriends :)

Then the kids loaded up on some healthy foods before treat time!

These two sure love their GiGi

The kids even let Sami sit at the table for the party.

She felt pretty big up at that table!

We raced home to meet the pizza man, and got ready for parade #3 in the neighborhood.

I had my contribution to the block party ready before the parade - bonus!

Our Frisco Fireman spotted the REAL Firetruck and took off...

Our neighborhood goes a little Halloween-crazy.  We shut down the streets, eat snow cones from the pirate ship, and parade behind the fire truck.  There is plenty of sweets for the kids and beverages for the adults... everyone is happy!

This is a dream come true for this boy

Sami had the best seat in the house, although she didn't have much leg room due to the 100% necessary cooler!

Cutest fireman .... although we may be partial!

GiGi and Grandpa were so nice to hand out candy for us so that we could go around the neighborhood with the kids. Sophie even dressed as Spider Dog.

Riley loved handing out candy too. It's a Halloween for the record books, folks!
