Playdate with Jake
Riley and I made our way to Garland last week to visit my friend Kelly and their sweet new baby, Jake (3 weeks younger than Riley). I loved being able to visit and compare notes with another Mom going through similar things, although Kelly deserves major credit for having a 1 year old as well!! We can't wait to have more playdates as these big boys get older!
Sleep? What's that?
Well... I wouldn't call Riley the best sleeper in the entire world. I have to laugh when people ask me if he is "sleeping through the night"... because we are FAR from it (and I go back to work next week..eek!)! This Cutie has his ways of getting out of taking his naps ... he will flash a great big smile at me when he's swaddled and on his way to bed, and we'll start playing until I realize we are no longer working on a nap! Mr. Smooth... :)

Fun Times at Mr. Pack's Museum...
Matt, Riley, and I met my Dad and brother at Mr. Sam Pack's museum (where my Dad works) for lunch last Friday. Riley met Mr. Pack, and got a personal tour his museum of cars... every guy's dream! He loved every second of it!
Hi Mr. Pack.. nice to meet you!
Touring the museum
Hmmm... I think I like the blue one the best
Hanging with Grandpa... In my "Team Grandpa" outfit!
Ready for a snack!
Even got to parade around with my Uncle Johnny
In the carseat on my way home... what a GREAT day!!
Party Time
Aunt Barbara's Creations
My Aunt Barbara is a very talented quilter, and has made some very special gifts for Riley. They are all one of a kind creations... here are a few pictures:

Thanks, Aunt Barbara!! We love you!!
Playing on the ducky quilt... She used fleece material for the ducks so that Riley can feel them!
Something was funny!
This is the phenomenal "ABC" quilt that Aunt Barbara made. Each square is so unique and intricate. It looks so nice in our playroom!
Riley loves staring at the bright colors!
She also made "slings" that we can use to carry Riley around in when he just doesn't want to be put down... which is pretty much 24/7!! :) His expression is a little startled in this picture, but I swear he was loving every second!

2 Month Update
We had Riley's 2 month visit at the pediatrician yesterday, and here are his updated stats:
Weight: 13 lbs 7 oz (83% Percentile)
Height: 24.25 inches (87% Percentile)
Yes, that's right... he's a big boy! My mom came to the appointment with me, which I really appreciated since it requires a few extra hands to go anywhere these days. We got a great report from his doctor, and he was so well behaved while we were there. He laid on the exam table and kicked his legs, smiled, giggled, and made all sorts of cooing noises.... that is, until they gave him three big shots!! The poor little guy had no idea it was coming, and then his sweet face turned beet red and he let out a loud scream. It was so hard to watch, but I was able to comfort him afterwards while Grandma fed him a bottle and he told us all about the big needles. Here are a few pictures of big boy that we took this week:

I love my Grandma soooo much (yes, wearing a bib these days because we have a drooler on our hands...)

Aunty Ky's Visit
One of my closest friends/roommate/sorority sister from college, Kylie, came to visit last weekend from NYC. She was SUCH a big help with Riley, and it was so appreciated! She helped put him down for naps, feed him, take him for walks, change his clothes, and even diapers! He absolutely loved her, and refused to nap all weekend because he didn't want to miss one second of the action. It was a wonderful visit spent relaxing, catching up, and enjoying the beautiful weather... we all can't wait to see her again!
Saturday morning on the back patio
Out for a walk on a beautiful day
...maybe a 5 minute nap, max
Feeding, burping, and putting the big guy to sleep... such a natural ;)
Relaxing by the pool
Ky and I got to relax poolside too... with our wine and cheese & crackers... yummm
All Smiles
Riley has developed quite the little personality over the last several weeks. He is such a happy baby, and loves smiling, giggling, and playing with his toys. He is so alert and doesn't miss a beat! I've tried to capture him smiling a few times, but the camera throws him off... here is one picture that I was able to snap while he played...
Easter Bunny Slippers
My cousins Tommy, Sarah, Liz, and Gina sent Riley some adorable Easter bunny slippers.
They've been one of his favorite things to wear these days... he can kick kick kick his legs and see them bounce and hear them rattle. Thanks to the Daly kids for some pretty cool kicks!!
