Riley spent a considerable amount of time painting this "dinosaur" the other night. He is a very talented artist!

Sunday Funday
Our backyard paraphernalia just keeps on multiplying... on Sunday we added a tent and blow up pool! Riley approved and had an absolute blast. I got myself a little toy too... the magic bullet blender, love it! I made fresh guacamole with my new blender, and Riley dipped, ate, and swam to his heart content.
Dip...
Not sure you got enough guac on that chip buddy... :)
Check out the pool slide that Matt set up... always thinkin'! Hours of fun!

Our new backyard "batting cage"
Riley's new favorite pastime is playing baseball. He has all the gear, but Mommy and Daddy get exhausted on a nightly basis by being the designated pitchers (after all, at 2 he's too old for a tee!). So, my problem-solving-husband turned our swingset into a batting cage... brilliant! Riley loves it, and so do we!
batter up!
His mouth is constantly open with full concentration
home run!
check out that mouth... cracks me up

Matt's 32nd Birthday!
We did lots of celebrating for Matt's 32nd birthday. It fell on a Thursday, so Riley and I decided to make it special when he got home from work with balloons, gifts, Mexican food, and cake balls... his fav! Riley loves birthday parties, so celebrating Daddy's big day was full of excitement.
We had our sweet neighbor, Lauren, babysit Riley on Saturday night while we enjoyed an amazing dinner at a small local restaurant. We enjoyed every second of it, and topped the night off with a trip to Starbucks for coffee and dessert (thanks for the gift card, Jerry!). We celebrated poolside on Sunday with my family, and we were able to celebrate Josh's birthday as well. My mom made Matt's favorite meatloaf, potatoes, and peas, and I made a carrot cake... we never skimp when it comes to food! Happy 32nd, Matt!! xoxo
It was PJ day at school that day too!
Lemon is his favorite, so we got two of those
We even put candles in the cake balls and sang happy birthday!
Riley helped blow out the candles, high five for team work!
The boys ended the evening with a little TV. Riley literally has not watched more than 2 minutes of TV in his life... I'd like to say that's my choice, but he just doesn't like it! However, we found that he LOVES the show Wipeout... where the people run through the obstacle course and get hit by a booby trap and get tossed into a pool of water... "it's SO funny, mommy" he says... oh boy!

Lake Texoma!
The Hay's family was nice enough to invite us along to their lake house on Lake Texoma two weekends ago. We always have such a great time with the Hay's and Rachavong families, and this trip did not disappoint. The kids get along so well together, and the parents always have lots of laughs!
The golf cart to the boat was one of the perks of the trip. I love how Riley and Lila are holding hands!
Captain Sawyer and Captain Riley are ready for the boat ride to the beach!
The three moms and five kids had a great time together!
The kiddos on the back of the boat
After some swimming, it was time to play in the sand!
Busy boys, they both took a great nap after all of this hard work
Silly boys staying hydrated!
So were these boys, but they opted for beer over Capri Suns
So did the girls (although mine was non alcoholic)... cheers!
Love these girls
We took a boat ride in the evening, and it was such a nice night
We even got to see a ship that looked JUST like a pirate ship!
Riley was yelling "Ahoy!"
Then the two little dare devils scared their moms by hanging off the back of the boat. They are Trouble with a capital T!
The kids had a yummy picnic the first night. Crystal made some delicious shredded chicken tacos... I am definitely going to use her recipe in the future!
The next day we got donuts and made cheesy eggs and bacon. We ate so well all weekend! Thanks to the Hay's and Raine's families for having us at your gorgeous home, and for a fun weekend!!
