November ~ 2015

November was another busy month for our family. We celebrated Thanksgiving with family, including Uncle Johnny who came in from New Jersey!  The kids continued to enjoy school during the week, and soccer on the weekends.  The SuperHeroes wrapped up a great soccer season in November. Matt and I took a trip to Cabo with 6 great friends this month, but that trip deserves it's own post. :) Stay tuned!

I must say, he sure looked cute in his soccer uniform!

Thanks to Coach David for a GREAT soccer experience! He taught the boys so much!

Some of the games were pretty chilly. This was the game that we missed while we were in Cabo. Thanks to GiGi and Grandpa for keeping up with our schedule in our absence!

Most of the pictures I get from Sami's school is of her eating. She is such a great eater!! Happy Plate Club!

Riley LOVES being the class weather reporter. He was the weather reporter in November, and got to take puppet Benjamin to the door to check the weather and report back to the class.

My cousin Matt paid us a visit in November amidst his busy schedule at Del Friscos.  His dog, Calvin, made himself comfy on my Dad's lap! LOL!

Sami and her GiGi on Thanksgiving Day!

Riley wanted his picture taken with GiGi too! They sure do love their GiGi!

Check out that bird! YUM!

You'll never guess who visited us during Thanksgiving dinner. PHIL! The Elf! He was in the china cabinet, and Riley was beside himself.

Just so excited!  Uncle Johnny didn't know the rules of our elf, and grabbed him out of the China cabinet!! We quickly corrected him, and told him that Phil would lose his magic if he's touched. He put him back, and we assured Riley that his magic was quickly restored.

Little Miss was pretty excited to see Phil too!

Hi Grandpa

Showing Uncle Johnny how to use an iPad.

Riley spelling with his play dough. Don't worry, he got his hair cut that evening.

Primrose collected cans for the homeless food pantry in November, and Riley was eager to participate.

Aunt Patty and Uncle Art sent the kids books and  coloring supplies. They couldn't wait to dive in and use them! Thank you Both, we love you!

Not quite sure what this says, but he seems pretty excited about it :)

Sami is such a good Mommy already. She takes her babies for walks, changes their diapers, and rocks them to sleep.

Peek A Boo!

What do you see, Big Girl?

October ~2015

October was a busy month as we entered the Fall season. We had some beautiful Fall Texas weather, and we took full advantage of it.  We had family visiting from Michigan mid-month, and we ended the month with lots of fun Halloween festivities.

Primrose has started posting the kids daily activities along with pictures on an app for us to view. I've loved seeing pictures of them in action during the day.

Riley's tongue-in-cheek (literally) is hilarious to me. I do the same thing! He sure is concentrating on his masterpiece.

The status of the lot in October. Not very exciting!

This sums up Sami and Riley's relationship. :)

I treated the kids to Mc'D's after Sami's 2 year checkup, and Riley's flu mist. Two happy full tummies!

Sweet girl playing outside

When did this kid get so big??

Riley enjoyed riding his bike in the nice warm weather. He took a few spills too, but got back up and kept riding.

I was showing the kids our wedding album one evening, and telling them the story of our wedding day :)

I loved this picture from Primrose. The kids attended a presentation, and the teachers caught Riley hugging his baby sister.

The SuperHeroes had a great season!

Aunt Patty, Aunt Mary, and my cousin Matt paid us a visit in October. Matt moved from Denver to Dallas to be the new sous chef at Del Friscos Steakhouse. We loved spending time with them!

... and cheering on the Spartans. They beat U of M!!

Sami got a special card from Uncle Art (a.k.a. Yoo Hoo), and carried it around for WEEKS!

We spent the next afternoon at the Hay's house for some fun in their new pool.

It was an incredible pool, and the kiddos enjoyed playing in the hot tub together. We'll try out the water slide and diving board when it warms up a little. Always fun with our sweet friends!

More fun pictures from Primrose. I'm not being partial to Riley, I promise. Sami's teachers just aren't as good about posting pictures, but I'm sure their hands are pretty full most of the time!!

Loved this one of the class "campfire"

Riley and his buddies outside on the playground

Three Mini-Teers!!

Riley playing his halloween matching game at school. Warning, do not play matching games with this kid. I think he has a photographic memory, so you will lose!

My parents next door neighbors "boo'ed" us with a surprise goodies on the front porch. The kids loved "booing" them back. Riley knew to drop the present, ring the doorbell, and run. Sami stood on their front porch and didn't move until they opened the door. Surprise!

Painting her paper plate pumpkin

Primrose has a "magical pumpkin patch" each year where the kids pick pumpkins. Sami picked two, just her size.

Of course, Riley went for the biggest one in the patch.

The new neighborhood, Phillips Creek Ranch, had a big carnival planned the night before Halloween. Unfortunately, it was raining, so they moved it to the High School gymnasium. Riley (a.k.a. Wolverine) went to trick-or-treat. Sami wasn't feeling well, so she missed out on the festivities.

Primrose has each class dress up as a group theme. Sami's class was chocolate chip cookies. They were SO darn cute!!
Riley (a.k.a. The Flash) and Sami (a.k.a. Minnie Mouse) were excited to trick-or-treat on Halloween night!

We took the golf cart over to our old neighborhood, and hung with our friends and neighbors.  Sami felt right at home on her old street!

They had the usual parade and visit from the firemen. Riley was brave enough to climb up into the fire truck this year!

The kids scored BIG! I actually ended up at Urgent Care that evening because Riley came down with strep. He made sure to wait to tell me he wasn't feeling well until after trick-or-treating. He was good as new after some meds and R&R!
