6 Month Update

I know... I'm a little behind, but we got Riley's 6 month "stats" on Monday, right before another round of shots! I tell ya, they do not get any easier.. especially since Riley is now much stronger & more opinionated, and can arch his back forcing me to hold him down while the needles are coming at him. He was a trooper, though, and only cried for a few seconds.

Our "little" guy is rising in the height percentile (the nurse said that he's the height of a typical 1 year old) and has gone down slightly in his weight percentile due to his 'activity level'... not surprising!
Weight: 19 lbs 3.5 oz - 69%
Height: 28.25 inches - 90%

Riley has become quite the little eater these days. He sits up in his high chair and eats three good-sized bowls of baby cereal (either rice, oatmeal or barley) mixed with pureed vegetables or fruits.  He's still not the best sleeper in the world, and tends to take two 20 minute "cat naps" at school and has not quite slept through the night.  He's getting MUCH better, though, and has been waking up once between 3:30-4:30AM to eat before going back to sleep until 6:45.

Riley has learned a few new tricks lately. He's been sitting up on his own for a few weeks, and he likes the new view.  It makes it easier to play with his toys while seeing everything going on around him.  He is also on the move! He started crawling to his toys about a week ago, and is getting better and better each day. I'm afraid that his speed is starting to pick up, so we'll be baby proofing the house this weekend!

The little man has really developed his own personality, and is just the happiest baby! We are having a ball with him!
