Virginia Visit

We were all SO excited for our trip to Virginia to visit Nana (a.k.a. "Nina" according to Riley) and Pop Pop, attend Meghan O'Connor's wedding, and visit with our good friends Aunty Mere & Uncle Sean.  We haven't seen Matt's parents since before Riley was mobile, so this was a fun trip for all of us!  We kept them busy throwing balls in the basement, kicking soccer balls in the back yard, reading stories, and playing with Pop Pops trains.  We are looking forward to their visit to Texas in a few short weeks for Christmas!

Pop Pop had this old tractor that Riley LOVED... and tried to "ride"...

It was pretty chilly, so we bundled up

 and went to the park! Of course, Riley only wanted to ride the "age 5-12" slide... alone!
 

 Meghan & Steve's wedding was Saturday, so Matt & his parents represented Riley & me at the mass since it was in the middle of his nap.

 After naptime we were ready to celebrate the newly married couple at the reception

 Riley stayed busy with some videos during the best man speech
 

And he got to cuddle with Pop Pop when the video was over

We cheered on the Redskins on Saturday. Riley would yell "GOALLLL!" 

 He woke up on Monday morning just in time for Aunty Mere's visit!

He warmed up to her RIGHT away!

Nana and Pop Pop gave Riley some nice presents, and one was his new favorite book "Brown Bear Brown Bear".  He read it with Nana and Pop Pop every night after bathtime.
