In the meantime, here is what the Weismann's were up to through the busy month of December!
We started the month with a HUGE ice storm! We literally had several inches of ice on the windows, streets, and trees! It kept us indoors for a few days since Texans are not accustomed to dealing with this sort of winter weather. We baked cookies and tried to keep warm!
This looks like snow, but it's straight ICE!
Christmas cookie time with my lil man.
My two main men
Check out that creativity!
He had a ball!
My birthday was December 10th, and I got to spend the day with this sweet girl...
...and this cool dude!
It was a great birthday dinner (thanks to Matt for "cooking" that night... Pei Wei takeout!) and dessert (Dimples cupcakes, yum!). We also celebrated a few days later with my parents and John. My mom spoiled me with another delicious dinner and MORE cupcakes!
Love that these two are starting to "play" together
We went to "Christmas in the Square" with the Loeffler's the following weekend. They have an amazing lights show timed to music, real snow falling from the sky, and lots of attractions for the kiddos!
The kids loved the train ride, but brrr it was cold!!
We decided to warm up next to the fire, and these two ladies had fun playing together. I can see their friendship blossoming already!
These three always have a ball together. Love the hard hats and goggles!
It was time for me to head back to work the following week. Sniff...sniff...I miss these three while I'm away!
Then it was time for us to prepare for Christmas! Phil the Elf visited us every morning from the North Pole. Here are some of our favorite "Phil locations"...
He sat on the top of these plates holding a marker that he used to color a picture for Riley...
He also invaded the nativity scene and took a ride on a camel
Silly Phil, he was hanging from the fan in the family room one morning!
...And he put Riley's fire truck on top of the kitchen cupboards and hung from the ladder!
We also attended the Hay's annual Santa party. The kids LOVED having some last minute one-on-one time with the Big Guy.
Sami Rose was exhausted after all the partying!
We snuck in a quick family pic with Santa
These two were on the "nice" list!
How sweet... next year she will be a ball of energy I'm sure!
We had to get some final preparations in on Christmas Eve. Riley made some special cookies for Santa's visit that night.
We had a delicious dinner at our favorite restaurant, Roys, with Gigi, Grandpa, Lala, and Uncle Johnny on Christmas Eve.
...Santa came to the Weismann house!
Oddly enough, Riley's fruit/veggie pouch in his stocking was one of the biggest hits!
After a fun filled morning of present after present after present... we headed down to Gigi and Grandpa's house for beef tenderloin and lobster pasta!
Can never be too careful when using tools... helmet and goggles are a must!
After all of the Christmas festivities died down, we closed out the month of December with our favorite guy and gal!
Look at this sweet baby face
Riley has been a big help in the kitchen these days. I am training him to cook US dinner one day! :)
Sami is also a great help in the kitchen!
Happy New Year!!!
