Fun days with GiGi and Grandpa

My parents sold their house in Plano at the end of June, and are closing on their brand new home this Friday.  They have been staying with us in the interim, and the kids have LOVED having their Grandparents around and we have really benefited from the extra help around the house.  My mom has done countless loads of laundry and made dinner when we get home from work... it's been lovely!!

Riley had an ice cream truck party at school, and GiGi and Grandpa were able to join him

I think he felt pretty special!

Riley and Grandpa are Trouble with a capital T!

They wrestle, tell jokes, make noises, and just crack each other up!

He has also helped Grandpa with a few "projects" for the new house. This particular project was to assemble the new shoe racks. Riley ran out of the play room with his plastic tools, and rearing to help!

Hooray, good job guys!

Sami has had fun with GiGi and Grandpa too. The other night she was brushing Grandpa's "hair".

It was a sweet moment ... and one when she wasn't attached to Mommy!

One of my favorite things about having my parents around was going on two dates with my hubby! We went to Roy's, our favorite place, to celebrate Matt's new job! Today was Matt's last day at Maxim after 9 years with the company.  We are excited for his new opportunity at Splunk! Cheers!
