Mud Day

"International Mud Day" was on June 29th, so they celebrated with mud for the kids to play in at Riley's school.  He clearly does NOT like getting his hands dirty!

His friend Jamie wasn't a fan either... 

They got to play in the water to get cleaned off. All is well!



Griffin Jacob Glasco

Riley and I recently celebrated the upcoming arrival of Griffin Jacob Glasco at a "stock the closet" baby shower. We had a great time visiting with the Glasco girls.  We can't wait to meet the little guy, who was born this morning (July 12th) at 7:36AM at a healthy 8 lbs 3oz and 20 inches long.

The Big 3-0!

We celebrated Daddy's 30th birthday this weekend.

We started the celebration at Outback on Saturday night. Riley came with us, and was such a good boy. We couldn't leave without a little chocolate thunder from down under... one of Matt's favs!

 Riley and I gave Matt a new BluRay DVD and surround sound system. He told us that he didn't know which part of the gift was more exciting... receiving it or tinkering around and setting it up. Here is Matt in his glory on Sunday morning!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa's house on Sunday afternoon for some R&R by the pool.

One of Riley's favorite activities is "riding the horsie"!  He pedals along at full speed!

Fun times at school!

Riley is absolutely loving his weekdays at school. He has learned SO much from his teachers and the other children over the last few months, and honestly... so have I! His teachers took some pictures of him last week that they were nice enough to share with me.

Riley is so silly - he tends to wrap himself in his blanket (and so does his girlfriend Jamie) within seconds of laying down. What a goof ball!

This is one of Riley's favorite toys in the world. The older kids (his classroom goes up to 1 year of age) LOVE Riley, and they shake the toys for him while he watches. They're all so sweet with him.

I snapped these pictures on one of my many visits throughout the day. Riley and his friend Jamie were getting ready for their daily walk to the pond to see the ducks.  The kids pile onto the buggies and head outside... they LOVE it! I have to laugh - he looks like a giant "Gilligan" in this picture next to petite little Jamie! 



Baby Bjorn

We already own the "ergo carrier", but it will probably come in handy as Riley gets older since it works well as a baby backpack. In the meantime, we decided to get the Baby Bjorn so that Riley can ride along with Daddy... especially with our 2 vacations on the horizon (perfect for the airport!).

I love to read

This is my first attempt at uploading a video, so we'll see how this goes. Riley loves story time (even at 4 months of age!), and gets so excited with each turn of the page. Here is a video of Riley listening to the ABC book.  (Side note: He had an itch on his arm last week, and scratched it up himself... yes, it looks like he was mauled. Boys will be boys!!)



Mav's Win!!

Riley was cheering on the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night.  

We decided his "lucky onesie" helped them win the NBA Championship!
