Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a lot to be thankful for this year, and loved that we got to celebrate this special day with my Grandma Daly and Aunt Barbara.  It was a beautiful day in Texas, so we were able to spend some time in the sunshine after the cooking was done.

We started the day by giving Toby a bath. Riley loved helping with the task!

Lots of fun at GiGi and Grandpa's house on the swingset - Lala couldn't help but join in the fun!

The beautiful table... after the feast (sorry, Mom... forgot to take a picture before!)

I think Dad was ready for a nap after all of that tasty food

Aunt Barbara knitted all of the girls beautiful scarves, and made Riley another adorable quilt & pillow. She is so talented!

Virginia Visit

We were all SO excited for our trip to Virginia to visit Nana (a.k.a. "Nina" according to Riley) and Pop Pop, attend Meghan O'Connor's wedding, and visit with our good friends Aunty Mere & Uncle Sean.  We haven't seen Matt's parents since before Riley was mobile, so this was a fun trip for all of us!  We kept them busy throwing balls in the basement, kicking soccer balls in the back yard, reading stories, and playing with Pop Pops trains.  We are looking forward to their visit to Texas in a few short weeks for Christmas!

Pop Pop had this old tractor that Riley LOVED... and tried to "ride"...

It was pretty chilly, so we bundled up

and went to the park! Of course, Riley only wanted to ride the "age 5-12" slide... alone!

Meghan & Steve's wedding was Saturday, so Matt & his parents represented Riley & me at the mass since it was in the middle of his nap.

After naptime we were ready to celebrate the newly married couple at the reception

Riley stayed busy with some videos during the best man speech

And he got to cuddle with Pop Pop when the video was over

Par-tay time!!!

We cheered on the Redskins on Saturday. Riley would yell "GOALLLL!"

He woke up on Monday morning just in time for Aunty Mere's visit!

He warmed up to her RIGHT away!

We miss Aunty Mere so much and wish she lived closer

Nana and Pop Pop gave Riley some nice presents, and one was his new favorite book "Brown Bear Brown Bear".  He read it with Nana and Pop Pop every night after bathtime.

Riding on his "Skootcase" suitcase in the airport! He just had a ball with Nana & Pop Pop... see you soon!!!

Halloween DAY... 2012

After all of the pre-celebrating we finally made it to the ACTUAL Halloween Day!
We kicked it off with the annual JCP Headquarters Halloween Parade. Again, Last year Riley couldn't make it through without a snooze, but this year he went the entire parade route without a single stop.  Unfortunately, this meant I spent much of the time chasing our little escapee down hallways, but that's beside the point... the farmer had fun doing it and I didn't have to go to the gym that day. :)

Getting ready for the fun in the classroom...

Gigi came for the parade, and Riley loves playing with her cell phone.

Riley's girlfriends wanted to hold his hands during the parade. Such a stud!

So happy!

We had a parade in our neighborhood on Halloween night. They had snow cones, cotton candy, and a firetruck for the kids to look at after the parade. Riley LOVES trucks, but the loud firetruck made him nervous. He reluctantly agreed to a quick picture... although, he wanted to cry the whole time.

Aunty LaLa came over and dressed up as a cowgirl. Look at his face looking at her.. he loves his Aunty Lala!

First stop, Uncle Vic's house next door. I think this is the beginning of the sugar overload!

More sugar....

Now he's ready to party... drink in hand and glow sticks around his neck! Yee haww!!

The Halloween Fun Continues...

October has been a very busy and fun month for the Weismann family! We continued partying like rock stars to celebrate Halloween over the course of several weeks.
We hosted a Spooktacular Halloween Party at our house, and had 20 of our closest neighbors join us for pizza, drinks, and fun times.  We are so lucky to live in such a close knit neighborhood with awesome neighbors.  Riley had lots of little friends his age over to play, and Lauren did an amazing job corralling the toddlers!

I made "adult" shrunken head cider... thanks for the idea, Kelly! This was a hit.

& Cute Jack-O-Lantern pizzas

We celebrated Walker's birthday too!

You can't have a neighborhood party without football! Riley & Mr. Mike are cheering on the Fighting Irish

Lauren with Gavin & Riley, she is a saint!

The next day we continued the party at my parents neighborhood Halloween Party.  They help make it a fun time for all each & every year.  Last year our little chicken slept through the festivities, but this year the Farmer was participating in full force.
