Nana and Pop Pop

We had the pleasure of having Nana and Pop Pop (Matt's parents) visit this week, and had a great time.  We were able to catch up, go out to eat, and even fit in a pretty competitive card game (ahem, I won!)!  Matt and Jerry stayed busy with "projects" around the house, and thanks to them we are almost done with the nursery.  Sharon and I spent a lot of time vegging out on the couch, and catching up on our Fox News.  All in all it was a nice and low key visit, and we ALL can't wait for their next visit to meet the new addition!

Merry Christmas 2010

Matt and I spent Christmas morning at our house drinking coffee and unwrapping presents. We got each other our new Canon camera for Christmas, but also exchanged a few gifts (slippers, socks, pj's... you know, the necessities!).  Santa even brought Riley some VT and Redskins gear, so he's going to be all decked out for his Dad's favorite teams.

We went to my parents house in the afternoon, and spent a relaxing day unwrapping presents and watching movies.  We finished the day with a yummy dinner and cheesecake dessert. Couldn't have asked for a better Christmas, and can't believe we'll have another member of the family joining us next year! :)

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Our Christmas Card

We took the annual "Quincey Christmas Card" photo on Christmas Eve between church and dinner.  I am still getting my act together for our little guy's arrival, and am not sending cards out this year (you'll be receiving an announcement in the near future anyway!), so here is the "Weismann digital Christmas Card 2010"!

We had a delicious dinner at Roy's (a high end "Hawaiian Fusion" restaurant) with my family... lots of fun conversation and laughs!

32 Weeks...

We had our 32 week appointment, and were lucky enough to have another sonogram to get a look at our little guy. Apparently, the sonographer 2 weeks ago didn't measure his kidneys (the whole reason I was having the sonogram in the first place... everything is fine, though!), so we got to do it again. We got lots of great pictures of Riley, and watched him rubbing his eyes and sleeping away. He's a healthy 4 1/2 lbs now, and it's just a short matter of time before he's here!

In Memory Of Lily...

We will miss sweet Lily Girl.  She has been the Quincey "Family Dog" for the last 11 years+. She became paralyzed from her waist down on Friday (she was actually staying with us for the night because my parents were in Oklahoma for Lib's graduation - another post to come about that! Congrats Lib!), and it got worse and worse and she died today.  She lived a long and pampered life, and we'll all miss her very much!

Just a cute one of Lil... squeezed into Toby's little bed

Birthday Weekend

My birthday was last weekend, and it was nice and relaxing.

On my actual birthday, we went to Matt's work Christmas party.  We decided to take a "tummy" picture before we left:

 30.5 weeks

When we got home Matt gave me a delicious cupcake from the "Cupcakery" (gourmet cupcake bakery in our area), and sang happy birthday all by himself. Maybe Riley will join him next year. :)

We went to dinner on Saturday night in Frisco Square, and watched the town square light show timed to Christmas music... it was amazing. They even had real snow falling in the square (snow machines, of course, for us Texans!).

We topped off the weekend with an amazing dinner & MORE cupcakes at my parents house on Sunday.  It was a very special birthday weekend!

30 Week Update

We had our 30 week appointment yesterday, and were lucky enough to get a sonogram as well!  I actually started fainting and getting extremely nauseous during the sono (they said it was from laying flat on my back for so long, and the baby weight was cutting off my circulation - new sono tech!!), so I didn't get to see much once them rolled me on my side... but we did walk away with one CUTE picture of Riley! He is measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule, and is almost 4 whopping pounds.  Dr. Campbell gave him an A+ on all of his stats, so we were thrilled for the good report.
