August ~ 2015

At the beginning of August, I left my littlest for the first time to visit my BFF Kylie in NYC! She & Adam had the sweetest little boy Kai in January, and he was the happiest & smiley-est baby ever!

I just love him so much!

I also got to meet their other "baby", their Great Dane named Sunny.  She liked to spoon Adam on the couch. :)

We got to have a girls night out while I was there, and it was so fun going out and catching up with Ky!

When I got home, we raced around for about two weeks getting our house ready to sell. We replaced tile, spackled, painted, and cleaned like crazy. In mid-August, I left town with the kiddos to visit family in Michigan (separate post to come), and Matt stayed home to sell the house..... which he did.... in a day... to a top bidder. Fast forward to our return from Michigan, we were back to scurrying around to pack and move out! (More to come on that too...)

The day after our return from Michigan was the first day of school.  Riley was back in his uniform, and Sami was ready to go visit her teachers and friends.

I got to spend the day with the bride-to-be, my mom, and Lib's future mother-in-law Beverly, and sister-in-law Jen.  Libby picked the most gorgeous wedding gown, and Jen & I helped her choose bridesmaid dresses. We ended the afternoon with a delicious lunch.

And the boxes have arrived! Now we are in full fledged moving mode, and have lots of help decorating our boxes.

July ~ 2015

Whew! We made it to July! July was an exciting month with exciting milestones. First of all, Aunty Lala and Jordan got engaged! We can't wait for the big wedding festivities next September. Secondly, we decided to build a new house!  Sadly, another milestone was that Uncle Johnny moved to New Jersey.  We will miss him, but we keep in touch with FaceTime.  In the meantime, we stayed busy with 4th of July celebrations and stayed away from the pools & outdoor activity while Riley's arm continued to heal.

Riley had weekly appointments at the orthopedist, so he got to join me at work a few times.  My coworker's son, and Riley's buddy, Matthew joined us the day before the 4th of July. These two go WAY back!

Here are the two boys at the SAME spot when they were babies (in their matching jackets!). Where did the time go??

We attended the annual Primrose 4th of July parade. Look at that cutie!

Pretty patriotic!

We also celebrated the 4th with pop-it's and confetti poppers

The little ones didn't stay up late enough to see the real deal fireworks, maybe next year!

ARGH!

Riley got special Fridays with GiGi while he was in his cast. Friday's were Splash Days at Primrose, and he obviously couldn't participate. This lucky boy got to go to story time at the Frisco Library!

And ate lunch with GiGi at McDonalds!

Sami was extra cuddly with Uncle Johnny. I think she knew he was moving away! We can't wait to see him at Thanksgiving!

Here is LaLa's new ROCK! Here comes the bride!

The happy couple

Jordan proposed while they were taking a walk, and we pulled together an impromptu engagement party at the Quincey house with both families.

Riley got his cast off at the end of July. Another reason to celebrate! He got to hang with me at my desk that morning. :)

And just like that, it's off!

Free as a bird, and able to hold his baby girl again! :)

Signing our lives away! We decided to build a home in Phillips Creek Ranch!

The "LOT"!

The final splash day of the season! Riley actually got to go, but not participate.
At least he got to see his friends splashing around! :)

June ~ 2015

June was full of ups, downs, and changes for our family. We started out with our fun Disney trip, and when we returned Sami Rose made a big change and started school at Primrose with Riley.  We had two birthdays, fun in the summer sun, and some medical challenges after Riley took a serious fall at a birthday party.

Sami and Riley held hands and marched into Primrose for Baby Girl's first day of school.
She loves it!!

Sami enjoyed splash days every Friday during the summer months at her new school.

Riley enjoyed one total splash day all summer due to his injury later in the month, but that single splash day was darn fun!!

We also broke in the new pool in GiGi and Grandpa's neighborhood. It's perfect for little kids with all sorts of sprayers, buckets, and fountains.

The kids also played with the kiddie pool in the back yard... they couldn't get enough water fun!

In addition to splash days, the kids enjoyed fun PJ days at school.

...and silly hair days....

... and had Daddy to school for Father's Day and ate "Donuts with Dad"

We also celebrated Gigi's birthday with cupcakes, and Daddy's birthday with a homemade cherry pie!

These two are just too cute sometimes.

Riley did lots of mowing in the backyard in June, and one morning he bumped into a wasp filled swing with his weed wacker and was swarmed & stung several times. GiGi brought him this cool doctor outfit so that he could doctor his boo boos.  Unbeknownst to us, he needed this little costume the following weekend as well!

Riley had a bad fall at a bounce house birthday party the following weekend, and broke his elbow. The break was so bad that the pediatric urgent care clinic sent us immediately to children's hospital and warned that he would probably need surgery. The bone was out of place, so the orthopedic doctor sedated him, manually reset the bone, and fitted him with a hard cast from his fingers to arm pit! The poor kid was on some pretty hefty drugs in this photo...

He was a real trooper, though.

After 4 different casts over the course of almost 6 weeks during the summer, I'm happy to say that surgery was not necessary, and he's back to his old self! Shew!

Sporting the orange cast!

Little sister tried to be gentle to her big brother , and helped keep a smile on his face. :)

Disney World 2015 ~ Part 2

The latter part of our Disney week began with a trip to the Animal Kingdom.  Our family tackled this park on our own while the rest of the Weismann clan went to Universal Studios.

After "A Bug's Life", we let the kids play in a dinosaur bone themed play area. It was a great enclosed outdoor play ground with climbing structures, slides, and tunnels.

Riley found his way to the arcade, and schooled everyone at each game!

Riley and his winnings!

Sami Rose appreciated some cool air and a nice lunch before the Safari

With temps so high, we couldn't pass up a nice cool Popsicle.

Our favorite ride by far was the African Safari. We saw lots of really neat animals! Here is a black Rhino

And a giraffe

We decided to call it a day after the Safari, and headed back to the pool at the hotel. This spray park was a big hit.

Sami was happy as a clam in a lounge chair with a drink and a bag of chips!

Nothing like relaxing by the pool after a day at the park

Meanwhile... the "cousins" were still hanging tough at Universal Studios! We hit the sack early because we had early reservations the following morning to have breakfast with Chef Mickey!

The following day we were on the road bright and early to meet Chef Mickey and his friends for breakfast.  It was fun for everyone to get up close and personal with the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse gang, and everyone got autographs from their favorite characters.

The Yates and Schrauth kids were all smiles and ready to go. My kids woke up on the wrong side of the bed, but they turned those frowns upside down when we got into the restaurant.

We started our meals with a quick song and dance. Who doesn't like swinging their napkins around to the music??

First we met Pluto...

Then we met Goofy...

Then, the Chef himself, Mickey Mouse

Then we met Pop Pop's favorite character, Donald

I blend in with the kids, right??

Donald and Pop Pop spoke the same language :)

Then, it was Sami Rose's all time favorite character, Minnie! She got stage fright, though.

Aunt Kerry and Corey enjoying their breakfast

Aunt B and Uncle John

The fam

Emily and Nana

After breakfast, we were off to Epcot!

Sami had fun putting the "disaster survival puzzle" together.

Took this picture, and then realized Riley was standing under the high voltage sign... eek

After some fun with Nemo, we headed back for one more swim in the pool. The kids just loved this part of the day!

The rest of the fam joined us, and we all had a great time!

A vacation is just not complete without a Weismann Family Conga Line

Laney, Sarah, and Lauren were so sweet to their youngest cousin <3

We decided to head back to the Magic Kingdom for our final day of vacation.

The more brave members of the family went on Splash Mountain

Our family, however, went on It's A Small World, and the ride stalled for quite some time while we were riding. I think we all had that song in our head for about a week.

Riley got to meet one of his idols, Buzz Lightyear

We rode the tea cups too! Aunt Kerry, Laney, and Lauren rode in one cup

And I rode with these two crazy boys!

We rode a few more tame rides as a family. We started with the carousel

Aunt Kerry got to wear the sparkly ears all day because she was the birthday girl!

We also rode Peter Pan's Flight, which was really cool!

Then, we were off to our final dinner at the Beast's Castle. It was my personal favorite!

The castle was so much like the castle in the movie, and we got to eat right by the rose!

The grand ballroom was really beautiful too

Aunt Kerry was surprised with a huge bouquet of flowers from her now-fiance Guy, and we celebrated with cake!

Thank you to Nana and Pop Pop for the trip of a lifetime! We will cherish the memories forever!
