My cousin, Meredith, got married a few weekends ago in Greenville, SC, so we decided to take a girls trip out east. The day we left happened to be Samantha's first birthday, so she wore her birthday girl tutu so that EVERYONE on the plane, shuttle, in the hotel, and at the restaurants knew that it was her special day! :)
And away we go!!
I had to snap a few pictures of the birthday girl looking oh so cute when we got to the hotel.
She posed so nicely for the camera...
...and then she was DONE.
We decided to take advantage of the nice hotel lobby and went downstairs for snacks and cocktail hour. Sami relaxed with us, and played on GiGi's iPhone.
She's saying "just a minute GiGi... I'm not done yet"
Then she moved to the floor...
...so we decided it was time for a change of scenery.
We took the hotel shuttle to downtown Greenville. It was a really cute town and a beautiful night, so we decided to eat our dinner outside.
The birthday girl didn't really feel like sitting still for very long, though.
The crayon entertainment only lasted a few seconds.
And, she was spent before we got her birthday cupcake.
At 5PM that night my Grandma, Uncle, two Aunts, and 5 of my cousins boarded their RV and were chauffeured through the night from Michigan to South Carolina. They were at the hotel to greet us for breakfast in the morning!
We headed back to town after breakfast to check out the water falls and do some sightseeing.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to rotate this photo, but here is a cute one of my cousins Katie, Christina, Santina, and Tommy.
Cousins at the Falls
Another un-rotatable photograph of the three girls at the Falls. As you can see, Sami was thrilled!
We weren't up for raw oysters with the younger cousins, so we went our separate ways and had a yummy hibachi lunch outside.
We got back to the hotel in time to get ready for the wedding! My mom attended the ceremony, and then I was able to attend the reception because it was a kid-free affair.
The venue was beautiful
My cousin Andrea (Meredith's sister) sang the song for their first dance
So glad I got to spend time with my cousins!
Santina and Christina dancing with the Bride and Groom.
Had a great time catching up with my cousin, Katie.
The Daly Fam
The Daly's boarded the RV first thing in the morning, and we were off to the airport. We got there in record time, and gave Sami free range of the airport waiting area.
She just loves her GiGi
We were all exhausted after a whirlwind trip, but we loved having a few days with just us girls. We missed Aunty LaLa, and have to do it again soon!
